About BJFC

Balgownie Junior Football Club is a proud and longstanding member of the Football South Coast (FSC) Junior Football community and actively supports the FSC charter.

This charter includes:

  • Fostering development of Junior Football in the South Coast region
  • Conducting Junior Competitions
  • Administering Junior Football
  • Upholding and promoting the objectives of FSC, FNSW and FFA
  • Facilitating the implementation of FSC policies, programs and initiatives
  • Acting as a conduit for the flow of information on issues of relevance from FSC, the Junior Council to member clubs and vice-versa.
  • Charging and collecting fees, levies and fines approved from FSC, FNSW, FFA from registered participants and others involved in football.

Balgownie Juniors often have over 600 boys and girls playing in the local leagues and hubs. It is the largest junior club in the FSC Northern League and has produced many fine players, some going onto represent Australia. (see History of the Club)

# Our feature post this week is of two of our ten x U9 Teams - U9 Red and U9 Blue.-> U9 Blue Coach Simon Hall and Manager Adam Miechel have formed a new U9 Blue Team this Season. They report that the players passing and dribbling skills are improving every week and that the Team are learning about the different positions and especially the importance of defence.-> Also pictured is U9 Red and their Coach Ben Christiansen who is busy Coaching both U9 Red and U7 Red this season. Ben is also very active on the BJFC Committee during the season and also in the preseason where he takes on a massive load during the registration and team sorting period.
