Balgownie Junior Football Club is a proud and longstanding member of Football South Coast (FSC), Football NSW (FNSW) and Football Australia (FFA). We actively support and endorse all FSC, FNSW, FFA codes of conduct and policies.

Balgownie Juniors had over 880 boys and girls playing in the Football South Coast competitions in 2025. We are the largest football club in the Wollongong Local Government Area and have produced many fine players, some going onto represent Australia.

Administering the Balgownie Junior Football Club and its dozens of Teams and hundreds of players.

Upholding and promoting the objectives of the Balgownie JFC Constitution and supporting FSC, FNSW and FFA.

Facilitating the implementation of our policies, programs and initiatives.

Acting as a conduit for the flow of information on issues of relevance from FFA, FNSW, FSC to our Teams, Players, Parents and supporters.

Collecting playing fees and levies through the player registration process
as charged by FSC, FNSW, FFA and to cover the costs of running BJFC.

OUR HISTORY

Balgownie Junior Football Club, founded in the 1950s has grown to 885 players in 2025 - a far cry from the original school team. Balgownie Rangers, established in 1883 is Australia’s oldest soccer club with legends like James ‘Judy’ Masters, supported by many leaders and life members over the years.

BJFC COMMITTEE

Our Committee consists solely of volunteers who are elected at the Annual General Meeting. Parents who are interested in being more involved are encouraged to apply to join the BJFC Committee at any time.

Committee meetings are held fortnightly in the Clubhouse on Mondays or Tuesdays from 7pm until about 8:15pm. This is the appropriate forum for raising any issues pertaining to the Club and its functions.

All parents, team officials, supporters are welcome to attend a Committee meeting and or join the Committee.
