Member Protection / Safeguarding Children

All Football South Coast Association Clubs are required to have a Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) appointed and involved in their Committee.

An MPIO is a point of contact for persons with member protection or child protection, child safe guarding - enquiries, concerns or complaints. Our MPIO provides information to participants about the options available to them.

An MPIO is responsible for providing information about a person’s rights, responsibilities and options should an individual make a complaint or raise a concern. The MPIO plays a key role in ensuring football is safe, fair and inclusive. Our MPIO achieves this by ensuring participants know their rights and responsibilities and ensuring that the appropriate policies and processes are followed.

Balgownie Junior Football Club supports and follows the Football NSW Safeguarding Children Standards, Guidelines and Policies.

To get in contact with our MPIO please review our BJFC Committee directory.
