Member Protection Policy

All Clubs are required to have a Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO) appointed.

An MPIO is the first point of contact for persons with member protection or child protection enquiries or complaints. MPIOs provide information to participants about the options available to them. MPIOs can also provide information to clubs about member protection and related policies. MPIO’s remain impartial and do not mediate or investigate complaints. There is an MPIO in every club, association, branch, referee branch within Football NSW and a State MPIO at Football NSW Head Office.

An MPIO is responsible for providing information about a person’s rights, responsibilities and options to an individual making a complaint or raising a concern. The MPIO can play a key role in ensuring football is safe, fair and inclusive. MPIO’s do this through ensuring club people and administrators know their rights and responsibilities and ensuring relative policies and processes are followed.

The Football NSW website has more information on the role of the MPIO here.

To get in contact with our MPIO please review our Committee directory.
