Changing a fixture

Overview
If you cannot field a team either due to to illness, injuries, suspensions or absences, then you must notify the Club immediately.
Games can often be changed simply by communicating with the other team, but change requests will only be initiated if the reason is a valid one as per the opinion of the BJFC Executive Committee.
Please review the 2026 FSC Competition Regulations (Change Of Fixture section) to understand the full requirement and also visit the Football South Coast Change of Fixture Request Form to fully understand the process and requirements for applying for and being granted a Change of Fixture.
Changing a fixture
In order to change a fixture, the opposition team and or Club needs to agree to a new date / time. Football South Coast must be advised at least 7 days prior to the match and the details of the proposed change. If Football South Coast approve the fixture change request it will be made in Dribl and a notification sent by Dribl to both Teams and their players. Please note the following conditions of a change in fixture:
- If the match brought forward is washed out then it will revert back to the previous date and time.
- If the a match is requested after the scheduled date and all other games in the round are washed out then the game shall be cancelled.
- If a match is requested after the scheduled date where the round is played and that match is washed out then the match will be null and void; in other words it will not be re-scheduled.
Teams who wish to propose a change in fixture need to ensure that:
- the venue is available
- the opposition team is available.
If it is a night match then it can only be played at venues where FSC has the current light certificate (minimum 100 lux).
The Secretary can assist the process through contacting the opposition Club where required.
