Ever wondered how to go about becoming a referee or linesman?

Balgownie Junior Football Club has a large Referee Hub which is managed by our Referee Coordinator. To become a referee or linesman a person needs to have attained the necessary qualifications at a Football NSW or Football South Coast administered referee course. Once qualified as a referee a player is assigned to a Referee Hub by Football South Coast.

Refereeing can be exciting and challenging – whether you are putting something back into the game you love, earning a bit of pocket money or wanting to referee a World Cup final!

Refereeing is all about player management skills. It helps you to develop life skills and keeps your fitness level up without getting the bumps and bruises players get.
